The Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer, released on April 29, opened to massive response and went on strength to strength on the following days. "Baaghi" collected Rs. 59.72 crore nett at the Indian box office in its opening week. It became the third-highest first-week grosser among Bollywood movies in 2016, after "Airlift" and "Fan."

Trade analysts had predicted that the collection of "Baaghi" would have been slowed down by new releases "Captain America: Civil War," "1920 London," "One Night Stand" and others in its second week. Its business did slip considerably on its second Friday and Saturday, but it was bigger than that of "1920 London" and "One Night Stand."

When compared to its opening-day collection, the Sabbir Khan-directed action drama witnessed over 80 percent dip in its collection on its second Friday, and showed growth on Saturday. "Baaghi" collected Rs. 4.74 crore at the Indian box office in these two days, taking its nine-day domestic total to Rs. 64.46 crore nett.

As per the trends, "Baaghi" is expected to cross the mark of Rs. 75 crore at the Indian box office in its second week. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Baaghi remains STRONG. Now heading towards ₹ 75 cr... [Week 2] Fri 2.31 cr, Sat 2.43 cr. Total: ₹ 64.46 cr.
